Ferro Silicon 75 Description

Ferro silicon alters the microstructure of ductile iron by affecting the number and distribution of graphite nodules. Adding FeSi75 grades containing 1-3% calcium and 0.5-2% barium during inoculation can improve the efficiency of nucleation. The silicon content of the alloy makes it more flexible and reduces the likelihood of shrinkage defects in castings.
