Applications

Ferrotitanium is an iron alloy containing 20%-27% titanium.

Used as deoxidizer and degassing agent. The deoxidizing ability of titanium is much higher than that of silicon and manganese, and it can reduce the segregation of steel ingots, improve the quality of steel ingots, and increase the yield.

Used as alloying agent. It is the main raw material of special steel types. It can increase the strength, corrosion resistance, and stability of steel. Widely used in stainless steel, tool steel, etc. And can improve the properties of cast iron. Used in the foundry industry to improve the wear resistance, stability, processability, etc. of cast iron.

Ferrotitanium is also the raw material for calcium titanium-type welding rod coatings.
