Product Advantages
High carbon content: Typically, high carbon silicon contains 50% to 70% silicon and 10% to 25% carbon.
Good deoxidation and desulfurization performance: High carbon silicon can effectively remove oxygen, sulfur, and other impurities in molten steel and improve the quality of molten steel.
Good properties in the steelmaking process: High carbon silicon can improve the mechanical properties, strength, and hardness of steel.
Manufacture And Use
For powders and granules, high-carbon silicon products are usually packed in plastic or paper-sealed bags with sizes ranging from 25kg to 1 ton, depending on customer requirements. These bags can be further packed into larger bags or containers for transportation.
For lumps and lumps, high-carbon silicon products are usually packed in plastic or jute woven bags, ranging in size from 25 kg to 1 ton. These bags are usually stacked on pallets and wrapped in plastic film to ensure safe transportation.
Applications
High carbon silicon is mainly used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent in steel production. It can improve the machinability, strength, and wear resistance of steel and reduce the occurrence of surface defects. It is also used as a reducing agent in the production of metallic silicon and other metals.
