Silicon Metal 1101 is processed by excellent industrial silicon and including full varieties. Used in electro, metallurgy, and chemical industry. It is a silver gray or dark gray powder with metallic luster, which has of high melting point, good heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance, it's called "industrial glutamate", which is an essential basic raw material in hi-tech industry. Silicon metal is usually classified according to the content of its three main impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium. Based on the content of iron, aluminum, and calcium, silicon metal can be divided into different grades such as 553, 441, 421, 3303, and 2202.

Metallurgical Product Description

Metallic silicon, also known as crystalline silicon or industrial silicon, is mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. Metallic silicon is smelted from quartz and coke in an electric furnace and contains about 98% silicon. Silicon metal is mainly composed of silicon and therefore has similar properties to silicon. Silicon has two allotropes: amorphous silicon and crystalline silicon.
