For Ferrosilicon Nitride, however, we do not recommend converting an ordinary Ferrosilicon market price directly into a FeSiN lump price. Nitriding requirements, final chemistry, size control and batch verification add their own production and acceptance conditions.

If you are preparing a September purchase, the most useful approach is to compare quotations on the same technical basis rather than ask only for a general “FeSiN price per ton.”

However, the final FeSiN price should not be calculated simply by adding a fixed percentage to a FeSi72 or FeSi75 market quote. Nitriding, yield, chemistry control, sizing and testing also need to be considered.

Nitrogen Content Changes the Ferrosilicon Nitride Specification

An FeSiN order requiring N at the lower end of a commercial range is not automatically equivalent to one requiring a tighter or higher Nitrogen Content.

If N is critical to your steelmaking calculation, state the required minimum or range clearly. This allows us to evaluate the specification before quoting instead of assuming that any FeSiN lump can be used.

10–50mm FeSiN Lump Size and Fines Control Affect the Offer

A nominal 10–50mm size is not always the complete physical specification.

If your charging system also limits material below 10mm or above 50mm, include the allowable fines and oversize percentage in the RFQ. Additional screening or tighter size acceptance can change the processing requirement.

Batch COA and Inspection Requirements Affect the Quotation Scope

If your order requires actual Batch COA values, additional laboratory testing or third-party inspection, these requirements should be agreed before quotation.

We prefer to use the same chemistry and size limits from RFQ through shipment so that the quotation and final acceptance remain on the same technical basis.

You may see Ferrosilicon prices quoted daily in China, but FeSiN is a more specification-dependent material.

Two quotations described as “Ferrosilicon Nitride 10–50mm” can still differ because of:

• Nitrogen Content;
• Silicon Content;
• C, O, P, S, Al, Ca or other controlled limits;
• fines and oversize tolerance;
• order quantity;
• packing requirement;
• Batch COA and inspection scope;
• FOB, CFR or CIF quotation basis;
• destination and shipment schedule.

This is why a price comparison is only useful after the technical specification and trade basis are aligned.

When we receive a Ferrosilicon Nitride Lump inquiry, we first confirm the chemistry and physical requirement rather than quote from the product name alone.

The minimum information we prefer to receive is:
